Experience IrishFest 2026 in Downtown Topeka

Join us in beautiful Downtown Topeka for Topeka IrishFest 2026! We will once again be celebrating our Irish pride and everything green down on Evergy Plaza, Saturday, March 14th! IrishFest will kick off at 10:00 with our annual Mater Dei IrishFest 5k Fun Run/Walk, beer tent, authentic Irish food, whiskey tasting, live music and more! Of course our celebration wouldn’t be complete without the Topeka St. Patrick’s Day parade! The parade kicks off at noon and you will have prime views from the plaza!

Topeka IrishFest Announces Headliner for 2026

Topeka IrishFest is pleased to announce that Flannigan’s Right Hook will perform at the 2026 Topeka IrishFest at Evergy Plaza in downtown Topeka on Saturday, March 14.

Based out of Kansas City, Flannigan’s Right Hook plays high-energy Irish-infused-rock with just a dash of Irish traditional and bluegrass music earning them the title “Kansas City’s Best Local Band” in The Pitch Weekly’s Best of Kansas City Awards in 2018 & 2021, and earned lead singer Cameron Russell the title “Best Male Vocalist” in Kansas City Magazine’s Best of Kansas City Awards in 2021.

Flannigan’s Right Hook is Cameron Russell (Lead Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica, Drums), Michael Cochran (Drums, Vocals), Coleen Dieker (Violin, Vocals), and Paul Greenlease (Bass, Vocals). As university-trained musicians, all members excel individually and raise the performance of each other to new levels.

Performing a wide variety of music – from rock and country covers to Irish traditional to band originals – the unique mix of genre’s and covers truly offers something for everyone. With three studio albums to their credit, Flannigan’s Right Hook inspires their devoted fans to renew their love for all kinds of music covering the 60’s through today – and it works! Their strong following is evidence that love for music shows no limits.

Flannigan’s Right Hook will take the stage at Evergy Plaza at 1 p.m.

Topeka Irish Fest is also pleased to announce the return of Donknado to the IrishFest stage! This popular Topeka band is known for its high-energy music and wild stage performances. Their music has been described as “bluegrassy, acoustic mayhem” with a mix of Irish tunes and good vibes. You won’t want to miss their performance which begins at 10:15 a.m.

Topeka IrishFest is one of the top Northeast Kansas ethnic event, attracting people from Topeka, Lawrence, Manhattan and Kansas City area. Topeka IrishFest runs in conjunction with the Topeka St. Patrick’s Day parade attracting over 70,000 people to beautiful downtown Topeka!

The 2023 Topeka IrishFest is going to be the premier event at Evergy Plaza in March 2023. The IrishFest and IrishFest 5K are the heart of the St. Patrick’s Day celebration for our city and surrounding areas. We are planning on celebrating on March 18, 2023 with you and all of our friends at Evergy Plaza.

Continuing to be recognized as one of the best places to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Kansas, our event features one of the first 5K runs of the season, live Irish entertainment, family fun, authentic handmade Irish food, vendors, crafts, and domestic beer throughout the day. One of the top ethnic events in Northeast Kansas draws from Topeka, Manhattan, Lawrence and Kansas City, and in conjunction with the St. Patrick’s Parade, attracts over 70,000 people to downtown Topeka to celebrate this glorious holiday.
